India is a country where a large part of the population belongs to the youth group. Youth is the backbone of the country's progress and prosperity. Unfortunately, our youth have not received proper education and training for skill development. The government has launched several schemes for vocational and skill development training and strengthening the skills of the youth.
To be better in whatever we do is called skill development, like cooking, reading, writing, playing, and any other work or skill, it is called skill development to improve your skills with full heart, proper training, and studies.
Apart from studies, developing a new skill in oneself by taking proper training in any other course is called skill development, such as learning computer skills, playing, sewing, learning something new in sports, or doing an additional vocational course, all these activities come under skill development. Establishment of skill development National Skill Development Fund was established by the Government of India in the year 2009 to collect capital in government and non-government sectors in the country.
All the applications made for the Kaushal Vikas Yojana are done online. Only people between 18 years to 35 years can apply for this scheme. The meaning of skill development is not just taking bookish knowledge. Rather, they also get the skill to do something new, which benefits the citizens in many areas.
In order to further promote skill development and to make self-reliant, the government has also implemented schemes like skill development and the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) has also announced the celebration of World Youth Skills Day on 15 July every year, so that the society can get further promotion and the country can develop.
Prime Minister also implemented a scheme which is known as Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY). Under this scheme, training is done in various technical fields at minimum fees. On the basis of this, they are given a certificate by the institute which is valid anywhere in the country.
